The church has been built in 1863 thanks to the first English visitors that were usually staying in Bordighera from October to May, a few of them settling in definetely. The first faithful were used to go to the Hotel Angleterre to pray together; nowadays this place is known as Villa Eugenia, located in via Vittorio Emanuele 218. Given the increasing number of English people coming to Bordighera, Gibraltar bishop nominated a pastor for the town of Bordighera, reverend Henry Sidebottom. Once the Hotel d'Angleterre was not able anymore to host such a comunity, the faithful were invited in the private chapel owned by Mrs Walker Fanshawe, located in the park of Villa Rosa. In 1873, Mrs Fanshawe gave a portion of her park to build a real church: the works for the construction of the Anglican church as we know it now (end of 19th century style), started. There was a fund raising campaign in which also Charles Henry Lowe actively took part and the church took the name of "All Saints Church".
Finally the British population had a real place for their worship and it also beacame a centre for social life where, every Thursday afternoon, the pastor invited, for the afternoon tea, the most active people of the town. The small church was increased in 1883 and in 1890: two side naves, a new sacristy and a room for the organ were added.
The religious services took place until 2000; nowadays it is owned by the Municipality of Bordighera that, after an accurate renovation, uses the building as cultural point of interest hosting cultural events, expositions and concerts.
